How do I create 3D or 2D plans with EyeSpyPLAN?

EyeSpyPLAN™ allows you to generate floor plans and 3D models in a matter of minutes, using any 360 camera.

See our tutorial video for more information.

Instructions

1) Place your 360 camera and tripod as central in the room as possible ensuring that all doors can be seen in the photo.

2) Photograph and create your Virtual Tour as advised in How To Make A 360 Tour, ensuring that all hotspots are in the middle of the doors.

3) Once you have created your Virtual Tour enter 360 mode and click on the in the bottom tool bar to launch the floor plan system.

4) Before you begin to create your floor plan use the drop downs in the right-hand box to choose which camera or tripod is being used. If you do not fully extend your tripod you will need to manually enter its height. Increased accuracy will be achieved by doing this.

5) Initially a green line will appear. Start at the longest wall and click in to the bottom corner or ceiling corner if the floor is less visible. Each time you do this a red marker will appear. The last red marker placed is adjustable if positioned incorrectly.

6) Once you click your second point, blue and white lines will appear to guide you into each corner. This is very useful if you can not see the corners properly.

Always ensure you select the corner of the room as accurately as possible!

7) Continue this process around the whole room finishing by clicking the first red marker, which will turn yellow just before you click it. Once you have connected all of the red markers in the room they will no longer be visible or adjustable.

8) You will now see new central red markers, which can be used to adjust the height of the room if necessary.

9) As you draw each room it will appear in the preview window at the right of your screen.

10) Press the button in the preview window to open the floor plan editor.

You can see the measurements of each room on the floor plan - this is displayed as M2 when a room is double clicked and highlighted blue.

Click on the walls to get their measurements.

You are able to adjust the size, orientation and position of each room by selecting and using the tools in the right hand side menu.

You can adjust where the doorway is by clicking and dragging the door icon.

You can also adjust the dimensions by entering revised measurements in the top righthand box.

You can also assign a colour to a room to highlight it with the dropdown box next to 'Area Colour'.

To preview your 3D model, click on the 3D button the left menu bar. An example can be seen below:
